Idea Overview:
I started developing this idea two years ago. The reason behind it is to provide organic and eco beauty products. The purpose is to encourage the young generation to pursue a more sustainable and eco-friendlier lifestyle while maintaining beauty more naturally. I chose lip balm because of the chapped lips, and the balms on the market are full of parabens.
The lip balms are vegan, eco-friendly and personalised. To add value to my products and differentiate them from the competitors, I created six types of women personalities that poses special features that separate them from the rest of the crowd and make them special. Each lip balm has its specific scent and colour characteristic to each woman's personality. The innocent lip balm reflects simplicity, diversity and inclusion.

There are many vegan lip balms on the market, but none is similar to my idea with the 6 type personalities.
Why you think there is a demand for your idea?:
In 2017, the global market for lip balm was estimated to be around 660 million U.S. dollars. It was forecast that the market size would increase to over 1 billion dollars in 2023.
Nowadays, people are more eco-conscious, and the demand for natural and organic beauty products is growing.
Who would be the ideal customers?:
B2C - The customers' target is women aged 18 to 35 that embrace and express natural beauty.
Location: England and EU
Education level: art, education, events planning, parenting, fashion, design, entertainment, home decor, DIY crafts.
Job position: event manager, graphic designer, photographer,
Buying motivation: healthy lifestyles, vegan, organic, sustainable and eco-friendly responsible.
Buying concerns: landfill pollution, plastic package
The problem currently facing: petrochemicals in commercial lip balms, plastic lip balm containers
Solution: vegan, cruelty-free and personalised lib balm, biodegradable cardboard (which is 100% compostable)
What ideas do you have to reach these customers?:
Online, e-commerce like Shopify.
Instagram and Pinterest. These are two social media platforms that make the most sense for handcrafted products like homemade lip balm.
Email marketing. Create email marketing campaigns to increase return buyers, offer personalized product recommendations, and increase buyer loyalty.
How far have you developed this idea?:
The concept, design and the product itself are ready.

What – if any – feedback have you had for this idea so far?:
I started selling to friends, and on the Etsy platform, I received only positive feedback and repetitive purchases.
What supporting material – if any - would you like to add to your proposal?:
I have my design, and I would like feedback on the product label that I will attach to this proposal.
This will be one example from six of the lip balm personalities.

It always struck me how much waste is in traditional beauty products; that’s a great message to spread and market to tackle. But you may need to plan to ‘get out there’ with live events to demo in a crowded market.

Creative designs and wonderful flavors! I like that you have labeled the “personality” of the various balms, it adds to the marketing and the customer experience (e.g.; “I feel adventurous today”). I am inexperienced with attracting younger generations for a product, but think you can showcase some combination offers for balms (like you have with the vegan gift box) with slogans on “the grapefruit experience”, etc. You have a good idea to start with!

I love the logo and the idea but what makes you different from the big brands? If you succeed they will try to produce the same product for a lower price. Furthermore, how will you make it attractive to people who are not into environmentally friendly products and just love beauty?
