Idea Overview:
I specialise in helping busy working parents with young children build healthy eating habits & routines that fit around family commitments (work, kids parties, socialising etc) to make long term sustainable changes so that they can feel great, build self confidence and end the perpetual lonely dieting
Who might use it/where it might be used?:
working parents with children under 10 who are juggling full time work with busy family commitments but are unhappy with their weaight or health. They are tired of traditional diets focussed on them individualy and want help and support to build sustainable eating habits that fit around their life & family commitments, such as developing strategies to survive kids parties, socialising and going out to restaurants
The Market (B2B, B2C or Both):
Business to Consumers (B2C)
Sector the idea belongs to:
Healthcare
Is there a similar idea to be found?:
not for my specifc niche - most nutrition advice services are aimed at single (mainly women) to lose weight. But this means that parents will need to eat seperate meals or eat on their own, which doesn't build good eating habits in their childten and adds uneccessary expense to their famiy food shopping bill The nutrition advice business is filled but their services don't translate to parents who want to eat as a family and keep food costs down
Why you think there is a demand for your idea?:
food bills have soared and parents don't want to be cooking seperate meals for themselves to lose weight, but want to be able to eat together and hit their goals. Workin parents are often under represented when it comes to online nutriution advice, with lots of PTs offering advice that is incompatible with family life with food choses (tell me a child that will eat brocolli and rice) and meal timings.
Who would be the ideal customers?:
Full time working parents with children under 10 years old that therefore need effort and input as dependents, who trying to lose weight or not happy with how they look. This will be both mums and dads
What ideas do you have to reach these customers?:
this is where i need help - this wil be a side huslt alongside my day job and i need to be careful with how i launch this without my employer spotting me and claiming it affects my performance I'd like to use both in persn and onlie networking to get my first clients and then build slowly with word of mouth and testimonials to prove the business. Then I'd like to do this full time and start advertising via google and social media, targetting the audiences of key influencers i follow that give good general advice
How far have you developed this idea?:
I have shared with friends and they are supportive - nxt step is to validate beyond immediate friends to get their thoughts, pain points (to help refine my idea and message) and test the idea further.
What – if any – feedback have you had for this idea so far?:
feedback on my recipes from friends and family has been positive with kids liking the recipes. Feedback on the idea is more limited but need to overcome concern that parents wont be able to cook or fit in partners needs and woud therefore just rather get a solo plan
What supporting material – if any - would you like to add to your proposal?:
i have a logo planned which is attached

A good place to start building an audience would be parents Facebook Groups for primary school children and younger. You probably want to collect evidence that parents perceive there is a problem with eating habits and how they currently address the problem.
