This looks a viable alternative for people who value privacy. Why don’t you use the Validate function in your dashboard when you login, to send this idea with a few Yes/No questions such as “Would you signup to this Network, if it was available?” And “Would you recommend it to your friends?”. You could send the link of the webpage that contains this idea and questions to your Facebook network to collect data on how viable it is.

It’s worth researching previous privacy-focused networks (- maybe Diaspora, Ello, Vero -) to get a head-start on what has and hasn’t worked well in the past.

On Facebook, you can go in your profile and select how people can find you, and if people such as “friends of friends” can only find you or if you can be found by using your phone number or email. Etc…. You can put quite a few filters so if you didn’t want unknown people to ever find you, they wouldn’t…I haven’t had a random friend request in literally years because I have these filters. My profile is private so people cannot view me…Such little activity is found on my page that I don’t index for the first several pages of a name search. So in short-this exists on the most widely used form of social media already…Facebook. kick it down a notch and you’ll have LinkedIn… So between IG, Snapchat, FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, why would anyone need another social media platform that does LESS than what those already do?
